Hayden's New Friend

Hayden just started smiling when Josh was playing with Charlotte and it soon turned into big laughs from Hayden as he watched Charlotte go back and forth in front of him. He absolutely loved it!

Company Christmas Party

Saturday night Josh, Hayden, and I ventured over to Chateau on the Lake, a beautiful hotel in Branson for the Summerwinds Christmas party. A lot of people attended and many awards were given to top salespeople. Before the dancing began, there was a raffle for some fabulous Christmas presents, although we didn't win.

Hayden is 6 Months

Well I'm a little late posting here, but we just got back from the Dr. and Hayden is doing well and developing the way he should. He weighs 20 lbs. 14 oz. and is 28 inches long. His head circumference is 19 inches. He's above the 95th percentile for height and weight and his head is off the charts. He was a lot braver this time for his shots and he fell asleep on the way home. He's had a busy couple days. I thought I'd share some of the pictures from his portrait session.

Christmas Card Outtakes

We had a good time getting Hayden ready to make our Christmas Card photo. We had to split up the shoot into two sessions, but we finally got a good picture. We had fun seeing his expressions, especially when he wouldn't stop sticking his tongue out. Tomorrow we go and get his 6 months pictures taken (can't believe he's 6 months already!) and go see Santa for the first time. It'll be quite an adventure.

Graduating to Solids

Last night Josh and I decided to try rice cereal with Hayden. At first he wasn't sure what to do, but after a while he looked like he really liked it. Unfortunately something didn't settle right as it didn't stay down. We'll try again soon and bring it up at his appointment in a couple weeks.

Getting geared up...

What's going to happen next?

Oh, what's this?

Daddy, I'm not sure about this...This is different

Well maybe it's not so bad

Happy Halloween

At the pumpkin patch

Gavin, Gunner, and Hayden after trick or treating

Our little monkey

I think these boys are going to become really close friends.

Hurry! Take the picture!

Papa and Vian Neally and Gavin and Gunner Grothaus and Hayden

Sweet Gunner was the only little boy that would cooperate with our pumpkin idea. Hayden made it in the pumpkin, but Gavin wanted nothing to do with it.

Gavin will have a hard time deciding which one is the best one!

For Halloween we all decided to go to the pumpkin patch and find some large pumpkins for the three little ones, Gavin, Hayden, and Gunner. Unfortunately it was very windy and cold and Hayden was not happy. The wind made him feel like someone was blowing in his face, which makes him very angry. But Gavin had a good time with all the activities and we found 3 large pumpkins. After we got home we got the boys dressed up and took them over to the Extension Center in Carthage and made some stops to let people see them all dressed up.

We Made It!

Saturday night we finally stopped in Gainesville, Florida. We were just too tired to make it any farther. We then had a late start on Sunday of 9:30 and we made it all the way to St. Charles, MO by around 11 pm. On Monday morning we met my mom in Burlington so she could dog sit Charlotte while we visited Josh's parents in Illinois. We plan on staying here for a couple days before we have to head to Branson to meet the moving truck. Hayden was an angel for the trip, which made it so much less stressful for us.

On the Road Again...

So here we are, back on the Florida turnpike about to partake in a new adventure and chapter in our lives. I'm sitting here in the back seat with Hayden to my left and Charlotte to my right. We're hoping to make it to the Georgia border tonight and quite possibly all the way there on Sunday. We'll both drive tomorrow in order to make this happen. We were really hoping we would have been able to leave earlier today, but since it was a very nice day in Florida with mild temperatures, the two drivers didn't get any help from the local moving office today. They will be making stops in Indiana, Illinois, and near St. Louis before unloading at our new place. We are their final destination planned for November 2nd. Please be thinking of us for the next couple of days that Hayden does well in the car and that Charlotte does alright as well.

Hayden Posing

No more pictures, Mommy!

Here's Hayden posing in one of his new outfits. He didn't have too many outfits in this size range, so we picked up a few and here's one of them:

Winding down before bedtime

Hayden had a rough day today as Mommy and Daddy went shopping for daddy to get some new work clothes. Hayden was such a good boy and all the salespeople commented on how good he was and of course how cute he is!!
