Hayden Swimming
Hayden and I started infant swim lessons last Friday with Jack and Carlye and another mom and daughter we've met through the Schmickles that will continue for eight weeks. I was really surprised how much he liked it. He was really into kicking and was really excited about being in the water. He was also having a good time putting his mouth in the water, but the instructor assured us that it was ok if he drank a little. So, today we all went to Stormy Point and practiced a little bit. Next week we go under water!!

Babbling Hayden
Hayden always has a good time in his exersaucer and he's big into making loud noises while he plays. It's too bad that the lighting isn't very great in the video.
Hayden also loves music. His favorite songs are "If You're Happy and You Know it", "The ABC Song", songs from his favorite cd, and "Hayden Louis"- a special song that his Aunt Andrea made up. Whenever we sing to him, his face lights up and he has a big smile.

It's Super Tuesday Alright--- Hayden is 8 Months Old!!
Today Hayden is 8 months old. It's hard to believe it was that long ago that we were blessed with such a beautiful, healthy boy. I did my "scientific measurements" this month since we don't go back to the doctor until next month and he is 24 lbs. and 30 inches long. WOW! He's gained about 2 lbs. and 2 inches since his six month appointment. He's started babbling a lot more and we've caught him saying "mama" a few times, once when Josh dropped me off in front of Target. Maybe he's not a complete daddy's boy after all.
I joked with Josh about flying down to Florida to vote in the primaries since we haven't made time to register to vote in Missouri, but we could have still voted in Florida. That would've been a lot of fun. I guess we'll have to make a different excuse to visit.

Our Drooly McDrools-A-Lot still wears a bib a lot otherwise his clothes would be soaked within a couple minutes as we found out tonight. It looked like Hayden ran 5 miles by seeing his t-shirt.
I can never decide which picture I like the best. Here's Hayden in his exersaucer. He loves spinning around and playing with all the toys and babbling at them. We had a good time at our Superbowl party. We invited the Schmickle's over and Josh had a lot of fun cooking. He made chili, a cheese ball, grape prosciutto/cheese appetizer, beanie weenies, and tacos. Too bad he doesn't cook any other time. Just kidding. Love you, honey! He did such a great job and I'm glad I let him take over to plan this. I tried getting a picture of Hayden with Jack, but I didn't catch them together in time to snap the picture.

Hayden's Attempt at Snow Angels
Well I brought Hayden out in the snow for just a couple minutes. If he hadn't been a little cranky he might have enjoyed it a little more. I got him all bundled up and headed out our sliders in the basement. He didn't know what to think when I sat him down, but when he layed down he definitely knew that snow wasn't his thing. He was born in Florida, after all.
Schedule Changes??
Didn't I just post a week ago that I knew that Hayden's schedule would change? Yep! He's now sleeping great at night going to bed anywhere between 7 & 8 pm and sleeping until 8 or so. EXCEPT: the last two days he's gotten up around 6 am!!! Madness I tell you. Naps are still good with a long morning nap and a shorter afternoon nap. I'm sure when those top teeth start poking through we'll have another story to report. Until then, we're happy getting some uninterrupted sleep.
