Today is my golden birthday and I am 29 on the 29th. I had never heard of this before until the weekend because Josh's uncle also had his golden birthday this year. I don't think we have any big plans other than maybe going somewhere for dinner. Josh is going to come home early from work and we'll probably just play with Hayden and hang out. Tomorrow the ladies at Josh's work are giving me a baby shower so that'll be fun. It was an unexpected surprise. Sunday I was having some contractions that could be timed. They weren't too intense, but there was a definite pattern going on. At my appointment yesterday they found that the contractions weren't making any change, but if they do become really intense that we need to head straight to L&D. Ava moves an unbelievable amount and it is so strange seeing body parts poke out at various areas of my belly. Because I had polyhydramnios with Hayden I never felt or saw that much movement. I felt enough to know he was there, but Ava's movements at this point can be extremely uncomfortable and they take my breath away at times. I don't know if I've officially "dropped", but her head is low and has caused a great deal of pain when I walk. Symphysis pubis dysfunction is most likely the cause. Usually by the end of the day I can barely walk, which makes it very difficult to chase Hayden around. Luckily a bath at the end of the day alleviates some of the discomfort. With Hayden I had tremendous amounts of rib pain since he didn't drop, but seriously I would rather have the rib pain than this because at least I could still walk with Hayden. So that's the update with Ava.

Josh taking care of the yard
Last night Josh mowed the lawn for the first time with our Neuton electric lawn mower. No gasoline or oil required. This lawn mower produces no CO2 emissions, is very quiet, and is easier on the allergies. So with the lawn mower, the gradual process of changing out our lightbulbs, and using cloth diapers maybe we can balance out our SUV. Can you tell we're both addicted to the new Planet Green channel?

Hey All You Mamas Out There
July is almost over and it's becoming unbearably hot outside. Prime time shows are in reruns unless you've become obsessed with the new season of Big Brother. So if you're like many moms you're in search of some good drama after the kiddos head to bed. Well why not check out www.mamadramauncensored.com? This woman created a blog to follow any drama going on in parenting forums and other media outlets. One post in particular had me in stitches when January 08 moms started posting pictures of their nurseries. Well one woman posted a picture of her beautifully decorated nursery and commented that it looked more lived in than the picture portrayed. Several posts later another mom posted with a link to HGTV with a picture of that exact nursery. Shame on her! Hayden's birth club board even made the cut on her blog. I remember the days at the end of my pregnancy when all that was going on.
All of you moms out there that belong to birth club boards will understand.

Hayden's New Room
Hayden really loves his new room and he adjusted pretty well after a few days. His old room was really dark when he'd go down for naps and bedtime so we were really worried how he'd adjust to so much light. The first couple days were a little rough meaning it took him a little longer to fall asleep, but now he's really good when we put him down. For nap time he will usually play with his turtle for awhile before he decides to lay down and go to sleep and for bedtime he is usually pretty tired so he goes right down. Some of you might wonder why I like sailboats/nautical things so much and it's because I just love how sailboats look on the water. They look very peaceful, relaxing, and elegant with their sails pointing to the sky. I fell in love with the sailboat mobile he had when he was younger several years ago and I had decided that if I were to have a boy someday that I wanted to use that theme. Josh liked it too so it was perfect.
The boat shaped bookcase Grandpa Denny made for his birthday present and a picture of Hayden Fry on the top shelf. It's all anchored to the wall so Hayden can have fun reaching for his books and stuffed animals.
The hanging sail Grandma Dawn got him for his birthday. It works perfectly to block some of the light and it's not visible from the outside of the house. In the picture it looks like it's covering or blocking the fan, but it's actually in front of it.

Hayden is Walking!!!!
Up until today Hayden has just been taking a few steps here and there, but today he walked across the room several times and then I managed to get it on video to share. He looks so adorable walking and is really proud of himself when he gets to where he wanted to go.

Hayden's First Haircut
Today we took Hayden to get his first haircut. We've been putting it off for awhile now and finally just decided it was time. He loved sitting in the car at first and watching Baby Einstein and then tried to push the stylist's hand away when she got in his way of the tv screen. We didn't want it cut too short, but we think it's just right. He got a little certificate and Grandma Dawn gave him a little locket to put his hair in.

"Houston we have a climber!"
Here's Hayden trying really hard to get to the button to turn the tv off. When we went to the playground I didn't even think anything of him climbing the toys there...until we got home! He then started climbing all the boxes that he could and as you can see here climbing on other things too. I guess he takes after me because before I could walk I wheeled a kitchen chair over to the counter, climbed the chair, then got on the counter, and then somehow ended up on top of the refrigerator!
Eviction Notice
I am issuing 30-50 day notice for EVICTION. Tenant will have 30-50 days in which he can either gather his belongings and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which, he will be physically removed from the property.
He's being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made!
Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both the upper AND lower levels of the home. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances.
After 30 (43 in our case) days from this day that he doesn’t comply with the notice will result in immediate and forceful removal at my discretion.
Someone posted this on Ava's birth club board and I thought it was pretty cute. We're just at 43 days left and I'm not feeling too terrible. I've had some lower back pain this past week, which comes just in time to move. She's still a very active baby and at night it looks like I'm carrying an alien with how much she moves. We never saw that with Hayden. We can't wait to get settled into our new home and we are excited to set up Hayden and Ava's rooms.
