The mattress in the bassinet can be turned one way for cold weather and another for warmer weather.
The stroller also offers a pram option, which comes with the set and you don't have to buy it separately. This came in handy this afternoon when Hayden was fussy and was fighting taking a nap.
Since the airport destroyed Hayden's stroller we had to get a new one. We decided to go with a different one that has different features. We really liked our other one, but decided this one would work better in all areas besides just paved areas. I love that he can either face me or face the world while we're out for a walk. It also has a bassinet that can be used instead of the seat.
Bam, it's 2024!

Cool stroller! How did the airline ruin your other one? I was planning on gate checking my stroller for Lucy since I have never had a problem before, but now I am not so sure!
Do you have any recommendations? I guess I could also just skip the stroller altogether and just use my sling and Baby Bjorn. I could also use this as an excuse to buy an Ergo carrier or a MaiTai, which I wouldn't mind having!
Well we're not sure how they ruined it, but they had to have dropped it from high up or something. The handle was completely broken off on one side, which the handle controls the opening and closing of the stroller. But just because they broke it doesn't mean I wouldn't gate check again. I think we were just unlucky. A carrier would work nice also, but it's nice to have your body free. We used my sling on the way back, which was much easier than using the car seat, but I would have preferred the stroller. Have you seen the moby wraps? Those are neat too. Or you get a cheap umbrella stroller and go that route. Is this for Jenny's wedding?
Yes, Marie and I are planning on flying together (with Lucy of course). The boys are going to have to stay home this time I'm afraid.
Are you guys going too, I hope?
Yep we're going. We're going to drive to Steamboat with our dog and then she's going to stay at Dawn's while we're in Arizona and then we'll come back and have Thanksgiving. We're going to be really tired.
So are you gate checking the Uppa Baby? J/K This will be my first time flying with a baby so it will be interesting! I hope all of our seat assignments work out for us to sit together. We're flying Delta and keeping our fingers crossed!
Marie
(p.s. now I'll have some real life experience on flying w/ carseats/babies for my Baby Bargains forum)
Haha. You're hilarious Marie. You should be able to give them some good insight though. But, I think we'll take the Maclaren.
Love the stroller! Need to chat about these slings! I have the Bjorn but it isn't very handy with a newborn due to head support. I feel like I have to hold onto it the whole time. My other sister-in-law has a mai tai but I'm not sure that would be much better.
