Go Hawks!

Daddy is reading Hayden "Hello Herky" a book about the Iowa Hawkeye mascot making his way to the game. Someday they'll get to go the game together.

Teacher Alisha says: Reading to your children is so important! Even at this young of an age! Way to go mom and dad! In a couple of months he will really benefit from and enjoy books with faces, such as BABY FACES by MARGARET MILLER. :-)

Reading them the right books is important too. I think our family has shown, give them the wrong books and they grow up to be Cyclones, shudder!!! So be careful and save Hayden from this horrible fate!!

Great book! He will be a great Hawk fan and may even play for them someday. Can't wait to see him next week!

That book reminds of a wonderful lullaby I can sing to Hayden while I'm down there...Green hills, for thy throne, and for crown a golden melody, ringing in the hearts of all who bring thee love and loyalty, dear alma mater, make thy spirits great, true and valiant like the bells of Iowa State...(there's a 2nd verse too!)

I concur. Starting out right away reading books is so important. I am so proud of you for giving quality time to your son. We just had a couple sermons about parenting in church and there is nothing more powerful than touch and love for your children. God bless you!
